The new Giant Beehive, to be inaugurated in summer 2025, offers a playful, participatory immersion experience, with costumes and interactive handling to create a memorable sensory experience.
Each area has been designed to capture children’s attention and arouse their curiosity. The youngest visitors can discover the roles of the worker bee, the drone or the queen, thanks to sensory and educational modules. The Api Cinéma broadcasts short videos on life in the hive and the fundamental role of pollinators in our ecosystem.
Families also appreciate the outdoor nature trails, punctuated by games, puzzles and explanatory panels. These trails help visitors better understand the relationship between man, bees and their environment, in a way that’s both scientific and fun. Visits generally last between 2h30 and 4h, depending on your pace and the interest of the activities. The last admission is around 4.30pm, allowing you to take full advantage of the facilities before closing time.
In high season, additional activities include live honey extraction, guided tastings of beehive products, and meetings with the site’s beekeepers. These activities are included in the admission ticket and vary according to the day and school periods.
The site is open daily during the spring, summer and autumn school vacations. Outside these periods, opening times may vary, so please consult the official website before your visit. A calendar of activities is updated regularly to enable visitors to plan their visit around the highlights of the season.
For school groups or leisure centers, specially adapted guided tours can be organized on reservation, with supervised educational workshops. These tours are part of an environmental education program, and are a great success with teachers.
