A spectacular historic park

Camping Port de Moricq

Ranked as one of France’s most visited theme parks, with almost 2.8 million visitors in 2024, the Puy du Fou is a veritable temple to live entertainment. The park brings together over 55 hectares of period villages and dazzling stagings, to relive the history of the region and the country in the open air.

Visitors discover stunning reconstructions of medieval towns, 18th-century villages, a fort from the An Mil era, and a Belle Époque atmosphere. Each setting is carefully reconstituted to immerse the public completely. The park doesn’t just recreate the past, it brings it to life with live shows on an exceptional scale. Horses, birds of prey, stunts, pyrotechnics and special effects enhance the performances to offer ever more immersive experiences.

Highlights include “Le Signe du Triomphe”, which transports visitors to a Roman arena, “Les Vikings”, with its impressive aquatic effects, and “Le Dernier Panache”, which tells the story of a Vendée officer during the French Revolution. Each production is designed to be accessible to the whole family, combining education, emotion and entertainment.

This historic park is internationally renowned for the quality of its staging, and has even been voted “best park in the world” several times. A must-see when visiting the Vendée.

What to expect on your visit

Camping Port de Moricq

Le Puy du Fou is ideally worth a two-day visit, to fully appreciate the daytime and evening shows, as well as the wealth of period villages. One day may be enough for an overview, but the fast-paced nature of the shows makes the experience more comfortable over two or three days. The park offers a range of ticket packages to suit the length of your stay.

We strongly advise you to book your tickets in advance, either online via the official website or via specialized platforms. Prices vary according to season and age, with discounts available for children, families and groups. The Emotion Pass is an option that gives priority access to certain grandstands, reducing waiting times during peak periods. The Cinéscénie is ticketed separately, and should be booked several months in advance.

The site also offers themed accommodation, in hotels inspired by historical eras (Viking camp, Gallo-Roman villa, 18th-century dwelling…), to prolong the experience in total immersion. Visitors can stay on site and enjoy the park’s unique ambience even after the shows have closed.

In terms of services, the Puy du Fou is well-equipped: free parking, a variety of restaurants ranging from medieval taverns to more contemporary eateries, rest areas and internal shuttles. A free mobile app also helps you organize your day, check schedules in real time and optimize your travels.
