Outdoors with your faithful companion
At the beach with my doggie
Numerous beaches close to the Port de Moricq campsite are accessible to your doggies for great family outings by the sea.
La Tranche-sur-Mer and its Flandre Dunkerque and Belle Henriette beaches are ideal for walks with your dog. On the town’s other beaches, you can walk your pooch on a leash, outside supervised swimming areas.
Head for the great beach of Longeville, where you can also take advantage of the many accesses authorized for dogs on leashes from April 1 to September 30: Les Conches (between accesses LONGE 14 and LONGE 18 ), Le Rocher (accesses 6 and 7) and Le Bouil (between accesses LONGE 1 and 6). Dogs accompanying people with reduced mobility are permitted throughout the commune.
In Jard-sur-Mer and Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard, you and your pet can enjoy a stroll along the beach: Plage de Ragounite, Plage Légère, Plage de Madoreau and Plage Pé de Canon, where dogs are allowed all year round except in July and August.
Breathe, walk and enjoy the local nature
Forest and marsh walks
Take advantage of our region’s many footpaths to enjoy a leisurely stroll with your pet! From Longeville-sur-Mer to La Faute-sur-Mer, you’ll find numerous forests.
Alternatively, just a stone’s throw from the campsite is La Grenouillère, next to the Saint-Benoist-sur-Mer tourist office, where a magnificent 7-kilometre walk through the heart of the Poitevin marshes awaits you. You’ll discover a rich and varied flora and fauna, as well as storks’ nests nestling in the middle of the marshes.
